Although dentures or bridges may seem like the quick and cost-effective solution to replace missing teeth, both of these choices have downsides. Neither option stimulates bone growth, nor do they resolve existing bone loss. Dentures can fall out, click, slip, require messy adhesives, and they need to be removed for cleaning. Even beyond these problems, some traditional denture wearers regularly experience gum tissue irritation as well as trouble eating and speaking due to an unstable and/or ill-fitting prosthesis. The All-on-Four, All-on-6 and All-on-X treatment concepts were developed to maximize the use of available bone through strategic placement of implants. This approach allows immediate function, eliminates the need and cost of additional treatment, and reduces the risk of potential complications. The All-on-6 dental implant process involves six strategically placed dental implants that hold the prosthesis firmly in place. Thanks to advances in technology including computer-guided implant surgery, implants can be placed arthroscopically without the need for any flap reflection. Four Steps to Transform Your Smile
Step 1: Personalized Consultation
At your initial consultation, our friendly implant coordinator will walk you through the process and show you an educational video. Next, Dr. Ogunleye will perform an oral exam and show you a model with six implants, further explaining the All-on-6 protocol. We use cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) to analyze your bone structure, nerve tissue and sinus cavities. The estimated 150–200 CBCT images, created in less than a minute, are compiled into a single 3D model of your jawbone that we combine with virtual reality software to precisely plan your implant placement. Although a majority of patients have adequate bone to receive All-on-Four, All-on-6 or All-on-X dental implants in Papillon, NE, a few patients need preliminary bone grafting, which requires an additional visit. If you decide you want to move forward with full mouth dental implants, you’ll meet with our financial coordinator to discuss pricing, insurance coverage and financing. We’ll also show you what your temporary acrylic resin prosthesis will look like, so you’ll know exactly what to expect.
Step 2: Precise and Guided Dental Implant Placement

You’ll walk out of our practice with fully functional temporary teeth that you’ll wear for six to nine months. Because this protocol reduces postoperative discomfort, bleeding, swelling and bruising, many of our patients can resume normal activities as early as one day following surgery!
Step 3: Healing and Follow-Up Visits
Each patient is unique in terms of healing and the need for follow-up visits. Proper osseointegration (fusion with your jawbone) is essential for dental implants to act like natural tooth roots and provide a strong and long-lasting foundation for your new teeth. We schedule a visit for two weeks after surgery for all patients, so Dr. Ogunleye can check the implant sites and make sure there are no complications. Thereafter, some patients come in once a month, while others only need to come in once every three months.
Step 4: A Beautiful and Confident New Smile
The final stage of the process is fitting you with a customized full mouth restoration created from zirconia, a high-quality and durable ceramic material that looks and feels like natural teeth. One of the best things about All-on-6 implants is that all that is required for maintenance is brushing and flossing twice a day like natural teeth, and semi-annual visits for preventive care!
